Circa 1960. Sergio Mazza 'Pi' wall sconce for Artemide. Executed in nickeled brass, painted metal and opaline glass. Architectural and incomparable, this sconce emits a pleasingly filtered light through its beautiful glass shade.
Born in Italy in 1931, Sergio Mazza created numerous iconic designs for Artemide throughout the 1960s, from a range of lighting to fiberglass molded seating and other home furnishings which due to their limited production runs have become highly collectible with their clean lines and intuitive utility.
The lamp shows small signs of age and use around the shade’s top edge.
