Rare Sconce by Gunnar Asplund
Currently on hold
Circa 1930. This indoor / outdoor sconce was designed by Gunnar Asplund for ASEA Sweden. The slightly tinted mouthblown glass with bubbles creates an intricate play between light and shadow, giving the appearance of light traveling through water. It features a black powdercoated metal bracket which can be mounted directly to the wall.
Born in Stockholm in 1885, architect-designer Erik "Gunnar" Asplund is celebrated as the godfather of functionalist design in Sweden.
The glass shade shows some signs of wear consistent with it’s age.

*Re-wired to AS 3760. Hardwired directly into wall. Items are vintage and therefore sold as seen or described. Customers should expect some signs of age and use.
